Plantz is a grower’s landscapers nursery situated at Motukarara, just five minutes from Tai Tapu.  We  grow a wide selection of hedging, natives perennials, and topiary, including magnificent slow growing buxus balls.

Having been in the industry for 35 years, we have extensive plant knowledge and enjoy spending time discussing with our customers their gardening projects. We pride ourselves on supplying the right plant for the right place.  This help ensures that the plant will survive and serves the purpose for which it was intended.  

To keep the prices affordable we recycle the pots (but please - we have enough at the moment) and have only basic thermal printed labels; we feel that the glossy picture of the plant with a plastic stick that ends up in a landfill is a mistake for what should be green industry (plastic pots are offensive enough).

For many customers choosing plants or designing a garden is often daunting and can be extremely expensive, especially if you get it wrong. Therefore, we offer a service where we visit your site and spend some time discussing the look that you would like to achieve and then give you a basic concept plan. When it comes time to plant, we can either supply the plants and lay them out (depending on the quantity) or we can organize planting them.

Because of the large quantities of plants, we grow we often have extra stock. We offer these extra plants at special prices, so feel free to join our mailing list to get the deals firsthand - don’t worry, we won’t bombard you with emails.
